Katie Phillips set up entertainment PR agency KPPR  in March 2011. Their roster of clients include comedians Ricky Gervais, Omid Djalili and Julian Clary; presenters Zoe Ball, Larry Lamb as well as brands such as Radio Times, Benefit & Vimeo. KPPR provide straight-talking, effective PR supported by great ideas. Their office is based in Great Western Studios in Westbourne Park.

 If you had a 25th hour each day, what would you do?

Essential store cupboard ingredients?
Coconut Oil, Lentils, Chickpeas.

When you have a daily work slump, how do you snap out of it – tips?
Take my dog for a walk to get some fresh air.

If I didn’t do what I do… I would love to be a….?
Gardener in Regents Park or a Dog Walker(!)

Clifton Nurseries in Little Venice, Soho House in NYC.

Poland Street Social Eating House.

Liberty & Anthropologie.

Share ideas openly and honestly, collaborate and support each other.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
Performer or Child Psychotherapist.

What lessons has your work life taught you?
With every challenge comes an opportunity.

What are your staple wardrobe brands?
Gerard Darel for coats, J Crew for T Shirts & jumpers, Acne for Jeans, Onzie for workout gear.

What’s a new skill or hobby you would like to take up and why?
Tennis, hitting things is a good stress reliever.

What’s your favourite place in the world and why?
I love the New Forest. It feels a million miles from city life and you are never far from a horse, donkey or cow just roaming the country roads.

What’s your fail-safe impressive dinner menu?
Ottolenghi’s fennel, lemon and orange roast chicken.

Are you used to early starts and is it a struggle?
Yes, I am up early to take the dog out and it’s the best reason to get out of bed. Nothing beats fresh air and a walk first thing in the morning.

What’s the biggest challenge your industry faces?
Social Media – everyone is a journalist nowadays; and social media isn’t always a good or true reflection of fact or opinion.
