LISA GRID_FotorBest piece of advice you’ve received?
Positive things happen when you distance yourself from negative people!

Favourite shops?
My favourite shop if I want to treat myself, or to buy a special gift for my loved ones it’s Selfridges. For everything cooking and baking related it has to be Lakeland. For food shopping I absolutely love Lidl, I’m a sucker for a bargain, their weekly offers are fabulous and the quality of their meat and vegetables is better than any other high street supermarket.

 Best meal?
I love travelling and trying new cuisines from different cultures, however nothing beats my Dad’s home cooking; I love his haggis, neaps and tatties stuffed potato skins!

What is your guilty pleasure?
Crazy dancing when nobody is watching!

Best weekend activity?
Spending quality time with my family, this summer we created a ‘Summer check list’ for our 3 year old Leo. We’ve had fun rowing boats, strawberry picking, flying kites and taking a helicopter ride

I achieved my current role through?
Sheer determination, passion and self-motivation. I followed my heart instead of my brain and turned my dream into reality.

If you could capture and bottle a smell, what would it be and why?
The smell of a new-born baby is positively delightful even if it does make me a little broody!

Who would you invite to your perfect dinner party (dead or alive)?
Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Tom Hanks, Freddie Mercury, Hugh Grant and Diana Princess of Wales.

What’s your favourite place in the world and why?
Kuredu island in the Maldives, I went here with my husband for our honeymoon, and it is paradise! We’d like to go back with our little boy for our 10 year anniversary to renew our wedding vows.

What are your ‘on duty’ and ‘off duty’ looks?
On Duty has to be a black dress and killer heels, Off Duty I love a maxi dress, or if at home you can’t beat a good pair of pj’s!

Best way to wind down?
A warm bath and a good book with some relaxing music in the background.

Any cuisines you love or loathe?
I love Greek and Italian food, there is no cuisine I’m yet to loathe.

What’s in your handbag?
Currently: my purse, lipgloss, liquid eyeliner, keys, a toy car, notepad and pen.

Why does your job matter to you?
It’s like my second child; it’s also been my dream for as long as I can remember. We’re lucky to have some of the most amazing retailers on board, so need to exceed expectations with the brand and new innovations.

 What’s your daily uniform?
If I’m out at meetings, presenting or exhibiting; a smart dress and heels. If I’m in the office I usually wear a casual dress, maxi, or trouser/top combo.

What’s your favourite waste of time?
SLEEP!!!

If you could change a work decision, what would it be and why?
I wish I’d founded the business with my husband rather than an x-colleague, but it just wasn’t viable at the time. You have to be able to 100% trust someone to go into business with them, I didn’t and it resulted with the business being in a pickle. Everything has turned around now and my husband and I run Gourmet Gadgetry together with the most fantastic partners and team.

Essential store cupboard ingredients?
Herbs, spices, chillies, rice, tinned plum tomatoes, garlic, coconut oil, peanut butter and coffee.

What are you wearing today?
A cosy grey knitted dress with black tights and boots.

What talent do you yearn for?
To be able to sing, I’m tone deaf, although my son appreciates my nursery rhymes, we like to change the words!

My typical day is?
I get up at 6am have some family time at home before dropping Leo at nursery and driving to work. My working day consists of: key account management, retail meetings, product development, branding and PR. I always plan my day, but a million additional things always crop up, I have to be very versatile.

If you had a 25th hour each day, what would you do?
Forward plan, there’s never enough time to plan, I LOVE a ‘to do’ list!

Who should feature next as a Three Six Fiver?
Rebecca Goodchild, founder of ‘Skinny Chimp’, she’s also just opened up her own gym.
