Pamela Cartwright is the Head Stationery Buyer for Paperchase.paelacartwright.collage

Which living person do you most admire?
Karen Brady – I may not be a football fan, but her career in a male-dominated industry – and wider – is incredibly impressive.

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
‘Blimey’ is probably the only one that could be printed

What or who is the greatest love of your life?
I have yet to meet that special person – clichéd, but my family are up there, especially my nieces and nephew who can make me feel all fuzzy and happy even just from a photo.

When and where were you happiest?
Generally whenever I’m lying on a beach with the sand between my toes and a large G&T in hand.

Which talent would you most like to have?
It’s not quite a talent, but I’d be pretty happy if I could click my fingers and be wherever I need to be instantly, rather than getting on hot and sweaty tubes in London! On a more achievable front, probably to be better at playing the guitar.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would probably swear less….

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Moving to London on my own at 26, not knowing anyone here, and creating a new life for myself and making lifelong friends.

Where would you most like to live?
Probably somewhere in Italy, like Lake Maggiori – with beautiful landscapes, lakes, fresh air – and of course – sun!

What is your most treasured possession?
Probably the guitar my parents bought me after graduating – I may not be very good, but it still means a lot to me.

What is your favorite occupation?
Is Chief Chocolate Taster an occupation? I could handle that responsibility.

What is your most marked characteristic?
My candour and assertiveness. And probably my ever-changing hairstyles.

What do you most value in your friends?
Their wacky humour and honesty.

Who are your favorite writers?
Khaled Hosseini, Harper Lee, Ian McEwan – I have too many to write here.

Who is your hero of fiction?
Lisbeth Salander from the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy.

Which historical figure do you most identify with?
Cleopatra – a strong leader with great hair.

Who are your heroes in real life?

Anyone who fights for what they believe in, even if they know they will be criticised for it, particularly people not too scared to admit they are a feminist, and speak up for gender equality.

What is your greatest regret?
Not travelling and seeing the world before starting my career – although I still plan to do it – just piecemeal.

Who should feature next as a Three Six Fiver?
Malala Yousafzai.

What should people look out for?
Our Autumn/Winter collections at Paperchase. Every season I say, ”This collection is my new favourite “ – and this Autumn it’s the Mystic Rose range, which is a mix of dark metallic florals, copper metals, and skulls – gorgeously gothic! Check it out here.
